DESCRIPTION:For over 50 years Dublin Concert Band (based in Dublin City Centre) has been a major part of the musical landscape in Dublin with musicians from every part of the City\, Country and beyond! Having just completed a hugely successful Golden Jubilee year in 2008\, DCB is now focused on moving into the next 50 years with a focus on challenging its members and entertaining its audiences musically. DCB won the National Band Championships in Cork in 2009. The band brings together a great mix of youthful enthusiasm and mature musicianship which combines to make one of Ireland's premier wind bands.

SUMMARY:Interior Designs
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday March 6th at 8pm David Bremner presents an evening of speculative music for pipe organ by 17th- and 21st-century composers at St Bartholomew's Church\, Ballsbridge. All the works featured have the quality of immersing the listener in the music's contrapuntal machinery itself. The programme as a whole functions like a Baroque suite- all the pieces explore a single mood\, but within the programme as a whole there are strong contrasts. Long periods of quiet\, sustained and reflective music are interrupted by bursts of uncontrollable energy.
