Fauré’s Requiem is a well-loved and often performed work but perhaps not in the chamber version to be sung by the Gaudete Singers on 26th October. David Hill’s arrangement for violin, cello, harp and organ aims to convey the original chamber-music qualities of Fauré’s original scoring and also the rich colours and textures of Fauré’s most famous work.
