Saint Bartholomew’s Church is located on Clyde Road, in central Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. The nearest landmark is the American (US) Embassy, a circular building located on the junction of Pembroke Road, Herbert Park and Clyde Road.

There are a number of convenient ways to get to the church, listed below:

  • By Car from the city centre – From Saint Stephens Green, drive along Baggot Street and across Baggot Street Bridge (crosses the Grand Canal). Continue along this street and take a right turn upon arriving at Jury’s Hotel, Ballsbridge. Drive straight through these traffic lights, so that Jurys is on the right hand side. Take the first right (the Berkley Court Hotel is on the corner) and drive up Shelbourne Road to the centre of Ballsbridge. At this crossroads, turn right onto the main road (Pembroke Road) and take the left fork (the US Embassy is in the middle of the fork) for Clyde Road.
  • By DART – The nearest DART station is on Landsdowne Road. Once off the DART, leave the Rail Station and walk along Landsdowne Road in the opposite direction to the stadium. On the crossroads (The Berkley Court Hotel will be on the left), take the left turn to go up Shelbourne Road to the centre of Ballsbridge, then take a right turn and walk towards the US Embassy. The church should can be seen to the left of the US Embassy.
  • By bus – A number of bus routes pass near the Church, including numbers 4, 5, 7, 8 and 47 (Pembroke Road) and 39A, 46A and 145 (Morehampton Road).
  • On foot – Walk out of the city centre, either along Mount Street from Merrion Square or along Baggot Street from Saint Stephens green. In both cases cross the bridge across the Grand Canal and continue straight ahead to Pembroke Road (both routes converge at Jury’s Hotel). Walk along Pembroke Road towards the centre of Ballsbridge and at then follow around the parameter of the US Embassy until the church comes into view.
