ANÚNA: Saturday, 3 December

Saturday, 3 December

3.00pm & 8.00pm

ANÚNA’s Christmas concerts in Dublin have been an essential event for many.  It is thus with great sadness that they’ve announced this will be their final public appearance at home in Ireland.  Although their work continues abroad, they—in their own words—“couldn’t finish without one last hurrah, and it is appropriate that that should be at our favourite Irish venue.”  This year’s concert will feature a selection of music for the season, both classic and original.  Tickets are €30 and should be purchased here.

No Evensong this Sunday, 20 November

There is no Evensong on Sunday, 20 November.  Instead, you are invited to join in the ecumenical Walk of Light, which begins at 3.30pm at Newman University Church, St. Stephen’s Green.  For more details, please click here.

Change of Service Times

Evensong resumes Sunday, 4 September and the midweek Eucharist resumes Wednesday, 7 September.  Please note that the start time for both of these services has changed.  The midweek Eucharist on Wednesdays will move from 12.45pm to a 10.30am start. Choral Evensong on Sunday evenings will change from a 6.00pm start to a 5.00pm start. Please spread the word!

Patronal Festival: 24 August

Back in the early months of 2020, we were at the end of a seven-year restoration programme and finishing off the last large section in the Chapel of Memory when the world was engulfed in a great concern over a new virus.  All of our plans for a celebration had to be put on hold for what we thought might be about a month.  Little did we know it would be more than two years!  As such, this year our patronal festival will be an extra special occasion.  Not only will it mark Saint Bartholomew’s Day, but it will also be a service of thanksgiving, where we will acknowledge those who were of immense help and support to us throughout the works and celebrate all that we have been able to achieve.

Please join us this Wednesday, 24 August at 7.30pm.  The archbishop of Dublin will serve as celebrant and preacher, and the service will be followed by a reception with a special cake.  This is an important event in our calendar as a parish, so it is an ideal opportunity to invite your family and friends to join and celebrate with us.  Looking forward to seeing you then!

Parish Office Closure

The parish office will be closed from 2.00pm on Friday, 5 August through August 12.

We will reopen Monday, 15 August at 10.30am.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

Our First Post-COVID Concert: Thursday, 5 May
